Olde Towne Manor is a rental community for persons 62 years or older, located at 109 South Sixth Street in the Borough of Perkasie, Bucks County. This 4 story 18,000 sq. ft. building was formerly the old Samuel Pierce Library, and the American Legion land mark in the downtown area of Perkasie.
Within walking distance are banks, pharmacies, shops, restaurants, hardware stores, etc.
Olde Towne Manor consists of 15 one-bedroom apartments, all handicap accessible with 5 being handicapped equipped. The first floor houses a lobby, wheel chair lift, community room, individual storage areas for each apartment, laundry, public lavatory and an office. This office is used by the Bucks County Area Agency on Aging. They utilize this space to provide senior services not only to tenants in our building, but also as a regional office.
The security system includes an intercom to each apartment, which allows tenants to selectively allow people to enter and also view them through remote cameras in the lobby on their closed cable TV system. Another added feature is the ability to monitor people who arrive and leave the building 24 hours a day.
Each floor has a trash room where tenant dispose of their regular trash and recyclables. The building has an elevator that services all floors. Each apartment has a steel door, wall-to-wall carpet, 18 cu. ft. refrigerator, electric stove, individual water heater, gas furnace, and central air conditioning. Also included is a garbage disposal and a cable TV outlet. Each apartment size varies from 502 to 591 sq. ft. All apartments are decorated with rugs, antique white paint, and almond cabinets trimmed in wood grain with matching almond appliances.
There is a part-time maintenance person who is responsible for maintaining the common areas, trash rooms and the outside of the building, as well as specific apartment maintenance.
